We started out with pizza, fellowship, and laughter. That in itself is a blessing.
Next, as usual, we migrated to the living room to share testimonies. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony!! Amen! Sharing what God is doing fuels us even more in anticipation for what is to come, in thankfulness for what has been done, and in praise for God in it all! I had more to share than time for tonight...wrote them down to share next week! What a break it has been.....
After sharing testimonies, we went on to some training in the "supernatural".
Topic of the night: Anxiousness. (say no!) Philippians 4:6-7
Steps for victory?
1.) Do not be anxious about anything!
- Instead, think brilliantly! Set your mind on things above! Collosians 3:1-2 , Philippians 4:8-9 Rewire your brain for His thoughts!
2.) Pray!
- Hello God! Pick up the phone and dial! He is there waiting to answer!
3.) Need Resources!-- God's resources!
- Ask God to provide!
4.) Thank God!
- Thank Him for giving what we ask! Thank Him for everything (erasers, warm clothes, whatever! just give thanks and give thanks and give thanks)
Experience Peace! Peace that surpasses understanding....think on that one! Surpasses understanding!
After training in the supernatural it was time to put it to work. I couldn't think of anything I was particularly anxious for....(praise Jesus for this winter break. for renewal, for Him drawing me in deeper into His word and His love! Thank you Dad!).....So I skipped to step 4. Thank God! I wasn't supposed to sit. I got up and wandered, thanking the Lord for anything and everything I could think of. After a while I felt like I was dancing with God. But I didn't really acknowledge it completely.
A friend was getting prayer and I asked God, "Dance with her, she's a dancer"
I got prayer. Hands were going up, but so were the toes. And we danced. He danced with me. He led.
Twirled me to the beat [of Chris' laughter].
Delight was the word of the night: I in Him and He in me. Beautiful.
Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart got a whole new meaning for me tonight.
Christ got Psalm 18 for me. Ballet warrior [training]. Vs 19? Delight.
And we danced.....
love the 4 things...esp the lead in "say no" part and number 4 - thankfulness. Daddy is cracking me up. it's EVERYWHERE. for a reason...wow.
